Statement Supporting Mayor Frey’s Veto of Minneapolis City Council Resolution No. 2024R-014

We support Mayor Frey in his veto of Resolution No. 2024R-014 in Legislative File No. 2024-00011 that was passed by the Minneapolis City Council on Thursday, January 25. We thank Mayor Frey for his courageous leadership. We urge all City Council members to uphold the Mayor’s veto when the issue comes before them on February 8. We affirm the Mayor’s call to local officials to take actions that bring together their diverse constituencies, and offer ourselves as partners in that endeavor.
